We bring elite cold therapy straight to your barn aisle. No trailering, no clinic wait — just faster recovery, less inflammation, and a horse that walks away ready to work.
Why Cold
Recovery your horse feels the next morning.
Whole-body cryotherapy triggers vasoconstriction across the entire animal — not just one iced leg. Blood returns rich with oxygen, inflammation drops, and soft tissue recovers faster between events, training blocks, or after an injury.
Faster event recovery
Cuts downtime after barrel runs, roping, cutting, or long days on the ranch so your horse is fresh for the next go.
Reduced inflammation
Whole-body cold response lowers swelling and soreness more evenly than spot-icing a single limb.
Circulation & tissue repair
The rebound of warm, oxygenated blood after treatment supports muscle and soft-tissue healing.
Laminitis & founder support
Cold therapy is a recognized supportive measure for acute laminitis cases, used alongside your vet's plan.
Senior & retired horses
Gentle, low-impact relief for stiff joints and chronic soreness — no swimming, no standing in ice water.
No trailering required
The unit comes to your barn. Less stress on the horse, less disruption to your day.
Pricing
Straightforward rates, no clinic markup.

The Session
Four steps, one visit.
Every session is hands-on and supervised start to finish. Your horse stays standing and relaxed the entire time.
We roll up
The mobile unit sets up in your barn aisle or arena — typically ready in under 15 minutes.
Prep & walkthrough
Your horse gets a calm introduction to the applicator before treatment begins, so there's no surprise.
The treatment
A handler moves the handheld applicator systematically across major muscle groups and joints, 15–20 minutes, monitored throughout.
Walk off warm
Circulation rebounds within minutes. Most horses walk right back to the stall or straight into work.

Service Area
Pahrump-based. Vegas-reaching.
The unit is fully mobile, based out of Pahrump with regular routes into the Las Vegas valley. Multi-horse bookings and barn-day group sessions welcome.
"Built in the desert, for desert horses — because the heat that wears them down is the same heat we use the cold to fight."
— Desert Chill Equine Cryo
Desert Chill Equine Cryo
Desert Chill Equine Cryo started with a simple problem: Nevada's heat is hard on working horses, and the closest equine cryotherapy was hours away by trailer. So we brought the cold to the horses instead. Today the unit runs routes between Pahrump and Las Vegas, working with barrel racers, ropers, ranch operations, and backyard horses alike. Every session is hands-on and supervised — this isn't a drop-off service.
The Evidence
This isn't just a trend.
Cold therapy for horses has a real research base behind it — not just anecdote.
Ohio State University / AAEP
Cold therapy and pain relief in lame horses
Researchers at Ohio State, including Dr. Vivian Quam and Hall-of-Fame veterinarian Dr. James Belknap, found the cooled group showed measurable improvement in lameness that lasted twice as long as the untreated group's — a meaningful sign that cold therapy has a genuine pain-relief effect on its own, not just a swelling-reduction one.

Why horses tolerate cold so well
Dr. Andrew van Eps, a leading researcher on limb cooling for laminitis, has found that horses handle sustained cold far better than people do and rarely experience adverse effects when it's applied correctly. His work is part of why cold therapy has become a trusted, low-risk tool for supporting recovery.
